REGENERATE BRAIN TISSUE TO HIGHER FUNCTIONING AFTER INJURY

Dr. Valerie Donaldson is certified in TBI and is part of Dr. Mark Gordon’s Millennium – TBI network of certified providers to treat TBI.

What is Traumatic Brain Injury?
A Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is a disruption in the normal function of the brain and is recognized as a causative factor for hormonal deficiencies associated with personality changes based upon changes in the molecular chemistry of the brain. Inflammatory chemicals are produced that lead to secondary insults to the brain’s functioning. Psychological, physiological and physical manifestations like depression, anxiety, loss of libido, sleep deprivation, strokes, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, menstrual irregularities, muscular and a number of other medical conditions can all arise subsequent to head trauma. The initial symptoms of a TBI are due to the physical damage of the brain itself. Part of the dysfunction is in the ability to regulate hormones produced by the pituitary gland. This information is provided through Dr. Mark Gordon.

Treatment:

Regenerative Medicine Center Pittsburgh treats neuroendocrine disruptors TBI creates, a program developed by Mark Gordon, MD, Millenium Health Centers, Los Angeles, CA. Patients have comprehensive laboratory testing done that can detect alterations in the production of important hormones. The affected hormones are then replenished to physiologic levels using safe bio-identical or bio-equivalent hormones. When hormone imbalances are addressed, the patient begins feeling better. Conventional medications (anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, anti-seizure, anti-psychotic and narcotics) do not address the underlying causes that create the symptoms associated with TBI (PTS/PCS) because they do not replenish the missing brain hormones. Many individuals under conventional treatment become further dysfunctional from the over-load of medications used for treating complaints and not the root cause.
