There are approximately 2 million new brain injuries a year. Therefore, over the last 40 years there are 80 billion people with brain injuries. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is the most common cause of disability in the US costing $60 billion a year. TBI happens acutely, but the inflammatory after-effects of the injury can completely change a person into a different person within a year. Some people with TBI can be harmful to themselves and others.
#1056.) ‘The suicide report of veterans in 2018 — shows the rate of suicide among veterans at 17.6 a day in 2018….a slight increase from 2017, when the rate of suicide was 17.5.’*, ** These statistics are from active military people only. The number of suicide deaths in all components of the military will have grown from 503 in 2019 to 571 in 2020, which would be a 13.5% increase.***
Our mental health system doesn’t look at these injuries as physical problems that can be reversed.
In reviewing past scientific research, Mark Gordon, MD, PharmD, found what had been in the scientific research for years – Low hormones are a direct outcome of inflammation in the brain from Traumatic Brain Injury. He uncovered a physical disability in people with TBI that can be treated by repleting deficient neuro-steroid hormones and by using natural supplements to decrease brain inflammation. When neurosteroid hormones are repleted and brain inflammation is down, mental health symptoms fade quickly.
In an observational study done by Dr Gordon, 90% of people with TBI felt better after the above protocol was implemented and 75% were off their medications within a year. (Joe Rogan podcast
