Covid Positive? What to Do!
Wednesday 7-1-2020
This week I received a plethora of phone calls concerning family members either being diagnosed as Covid positive or exposed to a Covid positive person, and the question, “What should I do?”
If Covid Positive…First think, what would your family member had a very bad highly contagious flu? Understand 80% of Covid cases are aymptomatic or have mild symptoms, 15 % will have mod to severe symptoms, and 5 % will be critical, 45% of which are from nursing homes.* In Texas, Lt Gov Dan Patrick stated 25% of ICU beds are Covid patients and deaths are low. **
What should you do if your family member is Positive?
- Isolate them for 14 days… in their bed rooms and/or in another area of the house.
- Isolate yourself for 14 days,
- Or isolate until you get nasal swab results back,
- Or isolate until you get antibody testing results back.
- Test yourself the 4th day after exposure or if you have symptoms (Click Here for BioLabs Test Interpretation)
- Take a script from your PCP for Covid testing to a lab. Find out what your insurance coverage is. Some people have paid a pretty penny for their testing.
- Or RMC has the rapid response finger prick test , 98-99% sensitive for Covid 19 antibodies, with results in 5-10 minutes. It can be done in your own home while face timing with a health professional from RMC, or you can make an appointment to have it done in the office.
- If your Covid test is negative. Retest in 2 weeks. Missing the window in which IgM is positive is common. Missing the IgG spike is ‘hard’!
- If you test positive for IgM or IgG, inform all people with whom you have had contact. Tell them to follow #2-4 above.
Preventative steps against Covid or any communicable disease:
- Use ASAP silver gel on your hands and face every AM.
During H1N1 2 mothers each had 7 children who used ASAP silver gel every day, and not one of the children got sick all year with anything!! That is what sold me on the product. Get it.! It is great for your skin and can be used on bug bites and is amazing on burns. Travel with this.
- Make sure RBC Zinc, Vitamin C, and Vitamin D3 blood levels are 50%-100% of normal. This will determine how much of each vitamin you will need.
- If your vitamin levels are not known take:
- Zinc 100-200 mg with food. Zinc STOPS viral replication within the virus cell. Zinc helps thyroid and testosterone
- ECGC 2 capsules a day. Green tea extract helps curve your appetite and is a great antioxidant. It opens the door to the virus cell to allow Zinc in to STOP viral replication
- Vitamin D3 50,000 units twice a week or 5000 to 10,000 units a day. Immune system booster. Vitamin in high doses can take away symptoms once infected.
- Vitamin C 3000 mg a day
- Orenda Immune 2 capsules every night.
Most of all be safe, exercise every day, eat organic foods and enjoy the day! Have an awesome one.
