Ultra-Luscious Smoothies

To increase a smoothie’s creaminess, blend in an of these: avocado, bananas, coconut, squash or root vegetables; plain yogurt, mango, nut, rice or seed milk; rolled grains, seeds soaked in water for an hour or nut soaked for two hours.

If adding in cacao nibs for a chocolate flavor and to ensure the cacao nibs stay intact as chocolate chips in these recipes, blend all other ingredients together first, then briefly blend in nibs.

Mint Chip

(2) cups frozen spinach
(2) cups frozen bananas
1/4 cup raw cashews
3 tablespoons cacao nibs
3 tablespoons fresh mint leaves

1 cup very ripe pear, chopped
2 tablespoons lucuma powder
1 teaspoon maca root powder
1 1/4 cups unsweetened almond milk
2 tablespoons raw cacao nibs
2 cups coconut milk ice cubes
