Testosterone and Covid-19 Protection

Delta variant is extremely contagious to everyone unvaccinated and vaccinated.*** Epsilon and Lamda are not far behind. Their resistance to the vaccines are being watched closely.

When reviewing current statistics from Israel, 59% of the ICU beds were filled with the ‘breakthrough’ Delta variant in fully vaccinated people.*  Will this happen in the US?

Is another booster going to decrease Covid cases even though the Delta variant has “acquired a partial resistance to neutralizing antibodies generated by natural infection or vaccination… results indicating a Delta variant may increase the risk of infection in immunized individuals?”**

The below graph shows the decreased efficacy of the vaccines to the Delta variant and why the booster is being recommended.

What else can we do to protect ourselves?

Protocols of Combined Supplements Help Protect

Optimal supplementation of Vitamin D, C, Zinc, Quercetin, with Ivermectin being added to the protocol was presented in RMC’s August 12, 2021 blog.  (FLCCC.com)  One of 20 peer reviewed articles on Ivermectin and Covid is sited below.****

Optimal Hormone Levels Help Protect

One of our best defenses not being discussed with frequency, are optimal levels of hormones.  Growth hormone, estrogen, testosterone, thyroid, and adrenal hormones all contribute to support our immune system and will play a role in our ability to fight Covid-19.

In particular, testosterone and estrogen become hugely important in the battle against Covid as Covid sits on the same ACE2 receptor sites in main sites of lung, heart, and kidney as do testosterone and estrogen.  When receptor sites are occupied with natural hormones, they are more difficult to be occupied by viruses or toxins.

Testosterone

The Double Edged Sword of Testosterone’s role in Covid-19 Pandemic is an excellent article out of Israel. *****

Males have a higher infection rate of Covid-19 than females, especially above 60 years old.  The rate of infection in men increases with increasing age, associated co-morbidities, and decreasing testosterone levels. Admissions and mortality rates from Covid-19 are higher in males than females independent of age.  However, morbidity and mortality rates are also higher in men with low testosterone levels.

Testosterone was called the double-edged sword as more men become infected because testosterone may enhance Covid-19 viral entry into the cell.   However, it also appears testosterone is protective against immune dysregulation and may help men recover faster from Covid-19 infection. “Men with low testosterone may be more likely to have a dangerous inflammatory response to the virus and may therefore benefit from testosterone replacement therapy.”   Morbidity and mortality from Covid-19 increases as testosterone levels decrease in males.  Estrogen seems to provide similar protection.   Should estrogen and testosterone replacement therapy be another layer of protection from Covid-19?  Certainly, balanced hormones seem to be key to our bodies ability to work optimally.

Make sure you get your vitamin, mineral, and hormone levels checked often, get plenty of sleep, exercise every day, and eat plenty of fresh proteins and vegetables.

Have an awesome day!
