Ivermectin, Kory Senate Testimony Taken Down

“Appearing as a witness on Dec. 8, 2020, before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, which held a hearing on “Early Outpatient Treatment: An Essential Part of a COVID-19 Solution”— Dr. Pierre Kory, President of the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC), called for the government to swiftly review the already expansive and still rapidly emerging medical evidence on Ivermectin.

The data shows the ability of the drug Ivermectin to prevent COVID-19, to keep those with early symptoms from progressing to the hyper-inflammatory phase of the disease, and even to help critically ill patients recover. Dr. Kory testified that Ivermectin is effectively a “miracle drug” against COVID-19 and called upon the government’s medical authorities—the NIH, CDC, and FDA—to urgently review the latest data and then issue guidelines for physicians, nurse-practitioners, and physician assistants to prescribe Ivermectin for COVID-19.*  VIDEO LINK

 

Early February, YouTube took down the video of this Senate Hearing stating Kory’s testimony was “dangerous and misleading”. 

  • Or is YouTube’s action taking down Kory’s testimony ‘dangerous and misleading’?

“By its shocking action, YouTube pulled the curtain down on official public information that the American people had every right to see. YouTube flagrantly disregarded the Constitutional imperative of transparency in government and decided that it alone knew what was in the best interest of the nation’s citizens During a devastating pandemic, it is arguably more dangerous for social media giants like YouTube to indiscriminately discredit and summarily remove official government information given under oath by world renowned medical experts… all while people are dying in horrific numbers”.*

  • It is your right to know, and your right to be able to research, and your right to ask your physician about Ivermectin. It is your right to take Ivermectin if it may help you and not harm you.  It can be prescribed by physicians off label for this purpose.

When doctors receive their medical degree they take the Hippocratic oath saying, “I WILL DO NO HARM”.  I worked the ER for many years.  Often we had to make split second decisions affecting someone’s life.  The decision was always, “If I do not act now, if I do not give the antibiotic now, if I don’t hang fluids now, if I don’t push a drug now, what are the consequences of my actions? Am I doing more harm by NOT acting.”   For example, if my diagnosis includes the possibility of a patient having bacterial meningitis, I give the antibiotic because if I don’t, they could die in the ER.  If I give the antibiotic and they don’t have bacterial meningitis, I have not harmed them.”

Why would I not want to offer a patient Ivermectin, when it could possibly save their life, when the consequences of not giving it could possibly kill them or lead to chronic sequelae?  We are talking about life and death and serious chronic illness sequelae from Covid-19.  This is the information being taken down and withheld from public knowledge by a non-medical entity.  The act of silencing in this case could cause harm to human health and life.  From a physicians point of view, this is a crime.

We are in a national emergency.  We need to treat people immediately with what ever we know won’t harm, but may help. Experimental vaccines were pushed forward in order to keep people from dying and possibly slowing the disease. Why not Ivermectin?

 

Why has Ivermectin, with little known side effects and supportive research, been pushed aside from emergency use? 

Having researched Ivermectin, I have not withheld it from my patients.  They have the right to ask for it and take it.  To date, I have been witness to Ivermectin helping 100% of my patients within 24 hours.  Two high risk patients short of breath being treated by multiple therapies plus Ivermectin are alive today without any lung sequelae.  They will tell you they started to turn around within 12 -24 hours after taking Ivermectin.  They could have died without Ivermectin.  I also have been witness to chronic sequelae of Covid going away after patients took Ivermectin.  This is not noted in the literature.

Taking down a vital and critical piece of medical information could cause harm to thousands.  Not making public a harmless treatment that could save lives and suffering could also cause harm.  Many loved ones have died as Ivermectin was being studied and not approved for use in the US.  Think of how you would feel, if your loved one died as an outcome of these actions.

Thousands of people in the United States have already suffered and died perhaps needlessly since Ivermectin as a treatment for Covid-10 was first initiated in May 2020.   Other countries have approved Ivermectin for use for Covid 19, and youtube denied public access to even hear about it.  Even the mRNA vaccines being given today have the possible side effect of death.  Ivermectin does not.  Where is the media? Why are they silent?

 

And Why Does Merck, the maker of Ivermectin, in lieu of all the studies to date, NOT support Ivermectin Use for Covid-19?

February 4, 2021, Merck put out a statement seen below in its entirety on Ivermectin stating ‘there was no scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against Covid-19” even after NIH revised its stance making Ivermectin an option for use January 14, 2021.*****

 

 

Merck Statement on Ivermectin use During the COVID-19 Pandemic***

KENILWORTH, N.J., Feb. 4, 2021 11:45 am EST– Merck (NYSE: MRK), known as MSD outside the United States and Canada, today affirmed its position regarding use of ivermectin during the COVID-19 pandemic. Company scientists continue to carefully examine the findings of all available and emerging studies of ivermectin for the treatment of COVID-19 for evidence of efficacy and safety. It is important to note that, to-date, our analysis has identified:

  • No scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against COVID-19 from pre-clinical studies;
  • No meaningful evidence for clinical activity or clinical efficacy in patients with COVID-19 disease, and;
  • A concerning lack of safety data in the majority of studies.

We do not believe that the data available support the safety and efficacy of ivermectin beyond the doses and populations indicated in the regulatory agency-approved prescribing information.

Why would Merck state this?  How powerful are ‘big pharma’ companies in determining our health?

FLCCC’s response to Merck’s statement:

Merck Statement 1: “No scientific basis for a potential therapeutic effect against COVID-19 from pre-clinical studies.”

FLCCC Response: The above publications cite in vitro and animal studies demonstrating anti-viral and anti-inflammatory mechanisms of action with ivermectin. Further, eight trials in COVID-19 patients reported a dose-dependent significant reduction in both viral load and time to viral clearance.

Merck Statement 2: “No meaningful evidence for clinical activity or clinical efficacy in patients with COVID-19 disease.”

FLCCC Response: The above publications cite ten trials that consistently reported a sizable significant reduction in time to clinical recovery, length of hospitalization, or mortality. Further, epidemiologic analyses reported consistent and large population-wide reductions in case-fatality rates and excess deaths in regions with ivermectin distribution campaigns.

Merck Statement 3: “A concerning lack of safety data in the majority of studies.”

FLCCC Response: The above publications cite numerous safety studies over decades of use, reporting an extremely low incidence of severe side effects. Further, many studies and case series demonstrate the safety of both escalating and prolonged dosing of ivermectin in both healthy and ill patients.  Unfortunately, Merck’s website did not provide the scientific data or bibliography to support its brief posted statements. The above reviewed in vitro, clinical, and epidemiologic evidence indicates that the current evidence base strongly contradicts Merck’s conclusions.

Merck’s stated mission is “to discover, develop and provide innovative products and services that save and improve lives around the world.”

FLCCC Response:  Merck’s historic impact on the discovery of ivermectin and their subsequent decision to donate hundreds of millions of doses to W.H.O programs led to the eradication of a scourge of parasitic diseases across many parts of the world. Many experts recognized Merck’s partnership with public health care agencies decades ago as one of last century’s most significant medical accomplishments. We remind Merck of the words of their founders’ son, George W. Merck, who, in 1950, stated, “We try never to forget that medicine is for the people. It is not for profits. The profits follow, and if we have remembered that they have never failed to appear. The better we have remembered it, the larger they have been”.

Our sincere hope is that the mounting evidence in favor of ivermectin’s efficacy and safety in COVID-19 will lead Merck to support the design and conduct of ethically appropriate clinical trials to identify the best timing, dose, and duration of ivermectin in the prophylaxis and treatment of COVID-19. Now more than ever, during the worst pandemic of the last 100 years, the world would benefit from Merck’s scientists and organization’s resources to advance knowledge with the hope of recreating in this century the most significant medical accomplishments of the last century.
